Not long ago I used to be terrified of spiders. Then a lady I used to work with who was Lacota Indian told me something that helped relieve my fear. She said Lacotas believe spiders are actually your visiting ancestors. What? I love pretending that's true! Now when I see a spider in a place I don't want it I say "Grandpa, I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to squish you".
